Most authentication failures here happen because users mistakenly enter the new password at the current password prompt. Calling this out explicitly
will prevent repeat issues, example given below.


Password Change Prompt – What to Enter

When you see the Current password: prompt, enter your existing (old) password, not the new one.
After that:

  1. You will be prompted to enter a new password — choose one as per your preference.

  2. You will then be asked to re-enter the new password to confirm it.

Once the password change is completed:

  • Log in again using the new password.

  • Authentication should succeed without errors.
